Session on how the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Morocco implemented UNESCO's Readiness Assessment Methodology (RAM) for AI ethics.

About this event
A session sharing Bahrain's and Morocco's experience applying UNESCO's Readiness Assessment Methodology (RAM). Bahrain was the second GCC country to have a UNESCO RAM report published, with UNESCO noting the Kingdom's progress and positioning it to become a regional leader in responsible, human-centred AI. Morocco's RAM found a favourable ecosystem for a holistic and responsible AI vision, with strengths in research, training, regulation, data governance and e-inclusion, while identifying technological infrastructure as the most significant gap. Morocco also ran four preparatory workshops under the UNESCO AI ethics Recommendation covering governance and legal framework, research/development/training, AI and society, and AI, economy and infrastructure.
