Global AI Assembly: Consultation Session with the UN High-Level Advisory Body on AI (UN-HLAB)

A consultation session held during the Global AI Assembly, which commenced 14 May 2024 in Riyadh, organized by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) in partnership with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) and the UN Advisory Body on AI. The session discussed the Advisory Body's interim report, 'Governing AI for Humanity'. The Advisory Body's final report of the same name was released in September 2024, urging the UN to lay the foundations of a globally inclusive architecture for AI governance and proposing seven recommendations to address gaps in current arrangements.
